What is love? Love in in the air. Love is like a mystery. Love is
like God. Love feels like you were in cloud nine. Love can bring you in other
world. Love can make you a special. So on and so forth. We have many
definitions of love in our own vocabulary. But personally, what actually is the
meaning of love? This is feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. The
attraction that includes sexual desire; the strong affection felt by people who
have a romantic relationship whit a person you love in a romantic way.
In love we
encounter this kind of feelings like happy, sad and to be broke because of
someone. When we find someone that will make our heart thump so fast, we say
that we’re in love with the person. Love is not a word, it’s a feeling you’re
having to your family, friends, someone and God. In church, we taught us to
love our enemies even though they did so much bad to you and your family
because before the war goes you actually love each other and accept the bad
things.
Love conquers all,
or so romance novels would have us believe. Many love novels published about
their experience in live and they share it to other people who would like to
read their novels. I have read so many love stories and one of that is Dear
John, the writer of the said novel is Nicholas Sparks. The meaning of Dear John
is a letter to a woman informing their boyfriend or fiance that they are ending
the relationship.
This the story how
it goes, John is a soldier and when he had his vacation on his town where he
and his father live, he met this girl named Savannah. Their love for each other
grows stronger until one day John has to return because he has duties as a
soldier. The distance between them didn't matter because they exchanges letter every
day and they tell story about their life. Until one day Savannah wrote a letter
to John and as indicated “Dear John” without knowing she’s ending their
relationship because she’s in love with someone else. Until John came back and
Savannah is married to his best friend.
It breaks my heart
knowing that the person you were dreaming to have a long life with will turn
into broken pieces because they were in love in somebody else. Even the person
you’re expecting to be with you forever will never be yours. This is how love
defines every people; we may love the same person now and then but as the time
goes by, that feeling of love to a person will eventually fade away because we
find a person we want to spend the rest of our lives with.
As for me my family
is an example of love for me because they give me life and chance to live and
to see how beautiful what god created. God is also a definition of love for me
because he gave me life and a loving family that I will cherish forever. And to
my friends that I will forever treasure as I grow old because they make me
experience the things I didn't experience before.
